About the Artist
Ji Y. Song is a California-based artist who was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. She moved to New York in 2007 to study fashion design in Fashion Institute of Technology(FIT) and to experience more diverse arts and cultures.
After several years of working full time in the fashion industry as a designer in New York and Los Angeles, she left her full-time job in the end of 2017 to spend more time on her art. She has always been loving art and has mainly drawn abstraction, still life, and landscape painting. Among them, most of time is devoted to abstraction.
It is mainly used with acrylic paints, crayons, colored pencils, ink pens, watercolors, markers, etc., and sometimes works on collage using various materials such as meshes. She studies to implement various expressions with as many materials as possible without limiting the use of materials.
About Dear my Rosie
This title “Dear my Rosie” is a name that expresses the moment when I write a letter with the desire to convey my works to a beautiful and precious person reminiscent of flowers. I sincerely hope that these artworks will be passed on to meaningful and loved ones.
